Rite Aid 101

If you have a Rite Aid near you and you aren’t coupon shopping there you are missing out on some great deals! You can earn PlentiPoints on purchases which can then be used like cash on future purchases. They do have a bit more restrictions versus Walgreens or CVS, but if you know what you’re doing you’ll do just fine!

Wellness Program

First things first, you want to sign up for Rite Aid’s Wellness program. It’s a simple process which can be done in store or online, and each time you shop you want to make sure the cashier scans your card. Your points will automatically track and you can keep track of them via your card.

The Wellness program has some great perks – here’s how the points work:

  • Earn 1 point for every dollar spent on non-prescription purchases
  • Earn 25 points for every prescription you purchase
  • When you reach 125 points you earn a one-time 10% off shopping pass
  • When you reach 500 points you earn 10% off all non-prescription purchases every day & free health screenings
  • When you reach 1,000 points you earn 20% of all non-prescription purchases every day

As you can see the perks can add up to some really nice discounts!

Plenti Points Rewards

Plenti Points are a reward that can be earned at more than just Rite Aid. You can also earn them at American Express, AT&T, ExxonMobil, Macy’s, Nationwide, Direct Energy and Hulu. You must have 200 points to redeem them which is super easy to accumulate at Rite Aid, and you can use your points wherever you like. For example, if you earn 1,500 points via AT&T you can then use those points to shop at Rite Aid or vice versa!

Each week Rite Aid offers deals that earn you points on. This week there might be buy 2 Dove shampoo earn 500 points, each point is worth one penny. The only use restriction is you cannot use them on prescriptions, gift cards, tobacco products, alcohol, or stamps.

Things To Know About Plenti Points

There is no limit to the amount you can redeem in one transaction. If you have more points than what you owe, the register will automatically adjust. Another cool perk is you can use your points to buy items that will also earn you points. We like to call this “rolling” points!

When a weekly promotion says you need to buy a certain amount to earn points, that will always be before coupon discounts. For example: if you need to buy $15 in baby products to earn 10,000 points the register will count your purchase before any coupons come off. This can make for some pretty awesome deals, but you must meet the necessary total! If you need to buy $15, it will not credit at $14.99. Also promotions are not tracked, you would need to purchase that $15 in products all in one transaction. Most times there will be a limit on the points you can earn on any one deal, it’s generally a limit of 1 per points deal.

Using Coupons

Rite Aid offers weekly in-ad coupons as well as emails coupons. You CAN stack a Rite Aid coupon with a manufacturer coupon, how cool is that?! Rite Aid also accepts internet coupons that you can find HERE! Something you also need to know is that they accept 4 identical coupons per transaction, just like Target.

Learning these basics should have you shopping at Rite Aid in no time at all! We hope this helps you as you head out to shop at your local store.
